Car is running bad once it warms up. Need Help!
Re: Car is running bad once it warms up. Need Help!
he sent me a message me today and mechioned a leaking waterpump.(pretty sure thats wat i understood)..to me sound like the hotter it gets the more coolant leaks onto the opti and the worse it is...weve all driven our cars and gotten the opti wet you know how it chugs...

I'm having almost the exact same problem. The car runs a bit rough when cold, but when it warms up it runs much worse. The hotter the day the sooner the miss will come, no codes being thrown, and all of the same issues that you're having.
My problem started all of the sudden when i was driving, no build up at all. It just started running rough all of the sudden. Is that similar to your situation?
The car is going to a mechanic soon, so hopefully I will get some results. And if I do I'll let you know.

If anyone finds out what this hesitation is from or at least gets it solved I think we would all appreciate hearing about it. My car has been doing the same thing since it has gotten warm out. Anyways, another TTT for the day.

Anyway, I changed out the ICM and it did nothing. So, I'm still at a loss. I'll probably take it to someone else and blow some more money next week.
So far I have changed out the coil, ICM, o2s, and made sure all of my plug wires weren't damaged, but now I want a more definitive answer before I throw any more parts at it.

I'm actually thinking that mine is my Opti and maybe my waterpump thats leaking on it. Have you checked the wep (sp? hole on your waterpump and see if maybe something is coming out of it or see if there's any coolant anywhere at all?
But that mechanic sounds like he didn't do ****.

I put some Bosch sensors in and appearently they're not fast enough for our PCM's. I've found if it only runs like crap when it's heated up.. That's when the PCM goes into closed loop and takes readings from the O2's. Someone chime in if I'm wrong.

Try changing your heat sensor on the front of the block. My car acted like that not too long ago and we replaced coil, o2s, ICM, map sensor and just about everything else and nothing seemed to help. We changed the heat sensor as a last resort and that fixed it. Try that and see what happens man.

Yea what exactly are you talking about and where is it located? Also do you have a part number or know how much?
