I'm having almost the exact same problem. The car runs a bit rough when cold, but when it warms up it runs much worse. The hotter the day the sooner the miss will come, no codes being thrown, and all of the same issues that you're having.

My problem started all of the sudden when i was driving, no build up at all. It just started running rough all of the sudden. Is that similar to your situation?
The car is going to a mechanic soon, so hopefully I will get some results. And if I do I'll let you know.

Yea man that sounds like the exact same problem. Let me know how it turns out. Right now i think the starting problem is fuel pump related so we're going to go back into that tomorrow and see what we can do. I'm guessing the sluggish part is another problem.

If anyone finds out what this hesitation is from or at least gets it solved I think we would all appreciate hearing about it. My car has been doing the same thing since it has gotten warm out. Anyways, another TTT for the day.

Well, I had a mechanic look at it and he thinks that it's the ICM. I just ordered one, hope it gets here soon. I'll let you know the result.

I was charged $45, but I was pretty disapointed in the mechanic. He told me that he didn't have a clue what it was, then said my car had coil packs. When I told him it didn't have coil packs he paused for a second and then said it was probably my ICM. I don't think he actually tested a single thing. I'm not even sure he looked under the hood.

Anyway, I changed out the ICM and it did nothing. So, I'm still at a loss. I'll probably take it to someone else and blow some more money next week.

So far I have changed out the coil, ICM, o2s, and made sure all of my plug wires weren't damaged, but now I want a more definitive answer before I throw any more parts at it.

I'm actually thinking that mine is my Opti and maybe my waterpump thats leaking on it. Have you checked the wep (sp? hole on your waterpump and see if maybe something is coming out of it or see if there's any coolant anywhere at all?

But that mechanic sounds like he didn't do ****.

Yup mine did the same thing. Ran good until it heated up then ran bad until it set a code, once the ses light came on it would run fine. If you can hook it up to something like datamaster try that, if the O2s are bad they will read completely different on each side. If one is reading before the car starts then that side is your problem, thats what happened to me

Unfortunately I'm thinking mine's the opti too. I was under the car yesterday, but didn't notice any coolant leaks. Maybe I'll take another look today to see if that weep hole is leaking. My front main seal is leaking though, hope that isn't causing the problem.

Try changing your heat sensor on the front of the block. My car acted like that not too long ago and we replaced coil, o2s, ICM, map sensor and just about everything else and nothing seemed to help. We changed the heat sensor as a last resort and that fixed it. Try that and see what happens man.

Are you talking about the coolant temperature sensor that screws into the waterpump? If so, I have been thinking of changing that out too. They're only like $8 so maybe I'll just do that to make sure.

Yea what exactly are you talking about and where is it located? Also do you have a part number or know how much?
