Car Problems
Car Problems
well here's some symptoms of my car's problems:
(it's a 1994 Trans Am auto btw)
-upon cold start after car turns over (takes longer than normal) rpms fall to around close to 0 but then immediately shoot back to regular idle rpm. I would attribute it to the new cam BUT it didn't do it after my cam swap until a few weeks later.
-rpms surge under part throttle, once again didn't start til a few weeks after the cam.
-car isn't shifting near set shift points. shifts were all set at 5100rpm by the tuner (temporary thing since car was breaking up in the higher rpms on the dyno), car shifted right there for a little while, then all the sudden it wouldn't shift until around 5900-6000rpm. car shifts firm with no feeling of slip, though sometimes in the higher rpms car will sound like its breaking up slightly
-car seems down on power aswell
anybody have any ideas?
also I have a mech fuel pressure gauge hooked up on the outside of the car, fuel pressure doesn't drop in high rpms at all, sticks around 43psi at WOT.
doesn't drop under start up either, actually increases when car "dies" then starts back up it returns to normal
