lately when I been driving my z28 a4 I have noticed when the car shifts between gears it does so at a very high rpms. It only happens when im driving the car and between 1st and 2nd gear the rpms climb to 7000 before it shifts. Is this bad? If so what can I do to correct it? I dont have any real performance mods done except an exhaust.

your engine rev's to 7K? i dont even think that's possible on a stock motor without breaking something, besides your rev limiter would have kicked in anyway, stock is like 5600 rpm i believe. maybe something wrong with your tach? thats just my guess, but Im sure others will jump in.
