Over this past weekend I noticed smoke coming out of the car. Turns out its an oil leak from the intake manifold. I also had an exhasut leak that got really bad. I make the trip from my summer place back to the city (100 miles). I notice on the trip back, the car was stumbling a bit on the highway and when I was at a stop light, the car had a shake to it.

Took my car into the shop, my buddy fixed the exhaust leak, header gasket was pretty much gone. The intake gasket wasnt replaced just yet because we are trying to figure out whats causing the misfire. It seems that number 7 isnt responding. I had a tuneup done 2 years ago. Changed all spark plugs, wires, optispark, water pump. Today a new opti was put in, changed a spark plug or 2 and the car still misfires. Injectors have been cleaned and still have the problem. Only thing that wasnt changed yet was the wires as its a pain to put in. Any ideas? Is there some sort of checklist around here for me to go through?

 

Nevermind. Finally got to the wires and one of them was burnt to a crisp.
