Is it throwing a SES light?

Have you checked for spark at the plug? Fuel pressure?

Re: Car just up and took a dump

My car did that one day, cut out on me crossing the highway! Anyway mine would crank and just barely run and diesel over. I had just washed the car and had the AI off (hood was not up) any way I unplugged the MAF and it fired up and ran perfect! When I got home I pulled off the AI and a little water had gotten on the MAF. I let it set for an hour and plugged it back in, now it is fine. That was like a week and a 1/2 ago. So.......I would say it could be the MAF.

That happened to me a couple of months ago. I am almost 100% sure its your ICM (Ignition Control Module). It probably overheated and went to crap. Have it checked they and also check the wire that connects to it. Mine was shorting the ICM out. Hope this helps.

I had washed it earlier but dont think water would have got under the hood, but i'll try it, thanks for the suggestion.

Hmm... If you changed it out then it's most likely not it then. But check it out anyways cause those things seem to overheat.

Re: Car just up and took a dump

check the volt meter when you turn key on, ignition off... if it reads under 12 it is your battery, if it reads right at 12, try and crank and see how far it spikes down

The radio is a big drain on the Battery. If your playing it loud, and your Altinator isn't properly working, it will shut the car off, and make it difficult to start. It may let you sit for a while, but then start back up later.

Re: Car just up and took a dump

Tried to start it up last night and all it would do was crank over, didnt even try to start this time, all my ignition system is basically new, opti, plugs, wires, coil, ignition module. So its kinda got me stumped, what would happen if the ignition module went bad, would it just kill the car while drivin?
