car just died...help

my car was sitting outside and i just went to pull it into the garage real quick. It fired up but since its cold the idle takes a bit to settle. I wait around 30 seconds and proceed to put the car in the garage. My car is pretty tight so i guess where it should be and turn the car off. I go to check if i need to pull up more and i do, so i jump back in and go to start it. It just cranks but wont fire up. i tried this a few times and the same result. it doesnt even try to fire it seems. any idea what could have happened??? I checked under the hood and nothing seems out of place but im perplexed. It was pretty cold out but I dont know what that would do. Any ideas???

Relieve all the fuel pressure at the schrader valve. Then cycle power on engine off for 2 seconds and then off. Do this 5 times. Then check the schrader valve to see if fuel pressure built up again. If so, try to start the engine. If not, the pump is more than likely bad but you should confirm voltage to the pump before you go replacing it.

If you do find the pressure did not come up, you can do a little trick that works once in a while. While someone cranks the engine over, tap on the bottom of the fuel tank with a rubber mallet. This will sometimes get the motor going in the fuel pump. The trick kept my pickup going long enough to get new fuel pump and get it up on a lift to replace it.

I will try that today and hope it works. I have a fuel pressure guage in my a-pillar and its reading what it normally does when i go to start the car and I dont see a dip of any kind. Thanks for the advice and if anyone else has any suggestions that would be greatly appreciated.
