I just got my new Nittos put on today and i have the mods in my signature. They are at 30 psi and they hook great. But when i launched it i was just sitting still and just hammered it and the tires hooked but them it started going in and out of power like slipping or missing or something. Well i tried it again and this time i held the brake and revved it to about 2500 and then floored it and they once again hooked right up and i didnt have the missing or anything but the car felt slower. Then once i started to get closer to home i heard this whining when i would give it some gas. When i rev up in park it does it too so i dont think its the tranny or rear end. Is my torque converter screwing up or what? I have heard that torque converters will make the car seem slower but who knows. Anyone have any ideas???

 

the launch def sounds like bogging- when i had my last set of tires i would launch about 2300k and car would spin a sec and take off great- then i upped to the Nitto 555 with a 18 x9.5" wheel,, tried same and car just spun and then bogged- felt like i was tied to a tree till it pulled into higher RPM's then started to pull - ive been experimenting with what rpm is best and its real hard- its either rev to high and bog - or too low and start slow - just something u need to experiment with- as for whine.... not sure

 

What does it mean to "bogg down" exactly?? I have just heard people kinda mention it on here so thats what made me think of it.
