Car extremely down on power!! Please help!

Ok so today was my first time to the track with my new setup.

LE2 heads, GM847 cam, electric waterpump, 1.6 rockers, the works... Stock tranny and stock rear end.

I am using street tires and they are horrible for traction..

Here are my times...

.6448 reaction time
2.51 60 ft
6.65 330 ft
9.3 @ 594 ft

9.9 @ 1/8 mile
73.99 @ 1/8 mile

15.21 @ 1/4 mile
94.71 @ 1/4 mile

Here is a video.... http://www.akgaming.com/~kendall/video/Kendall.wmv

Any ideas why I am trapping such low times? With as many mods as I have shouldnt I be atleast trapping well over 100??

The only thing that I can think of that is slowing me down is my catback, I have longtube headers, then 3" Y pipe that goes into the stock catback. I am going to hack off that stock catback and go to a 3" exhaust.

Other thing I noticed is that above 6200rpm the opti was struggling.

Tuning was done by Ion.

Thanks guys.

Kendall

You really should include your location/altitude...It can be a big factor.

Can anyone think of anything that would cause me to be this slow?? There is defiantly something extremely wrong and I would love to figure this out while the roads are still drivable.

I don't think you should have a problem trapping 116 with that setup. Your cam may be installed wrong. Might want to take a look and may want to replace that opti.

Ok, found the problem, my car was running on 6 cylinders! One spark plug came detached from the opti (cylinder 6) and one was burnt by the header ( Cylinder 8). So both on the same side of the engine... I fixed the problem and the car hasnt ran this good ever! Man this thing is insane! I can spin the tires almost all the way through 3rd gear! It spins to 7krpm without a hiccup, no stutter up top or anything! Man this car is just flat amazing! Too bad the last day the track was open was 9/11.

I just need to fix my fan 1 and my heating issue may be under control and the car should be ready for the track!

Looking forward to your new track numbers. Your setup just doesn't equal 15sec. Glad you found your problem.

Hey, just saw this post.

Grab some new logs for me anyways. Your one heated o2 sensor is still toast, but the wires could explain the other wierd results.

Glad its running better

The drivers side plug only has a few miles on the new AC Delco 02 sensor. It should be fine... I will see what it looks like after they are heated up and I can get some logs...

Z95M6: Do you spin the tires a lot or does the clutch slip? That could explain irratic rpm's during logging. I thought mine were spikey too, it was just me not being able to get traction..

Its the right bank/passenger side one. sorry about that email. I had my left and rights mixed up

Anyways... Anytime you arent giving it throttle it isnt reading. Thats a for sure sign of a gone heater. Graph the left and right o2s on log 7 along with TPS.

See how when the tps is 0%, the right o2 flatlines? The left continues to read up and down rapidly. (only exception is on that deceleration part, where it flatlines very low (normal due to fuel shutoff))

Best part to look, very very end of log where you are idling.

BUt might as well graph it all again with a new log to make sure its still doing it with the ignition fixed up.
