Angry car dying while driving

My girlfriend drives my car alot and kept telling that is just dying in the middle of traffic at any given speed. Then I would get into the car and it would drive fine. Anyway this has been going on for the last 3 weeks or so.
Well just so happens today it died on me 6 times while driving through a neighborhood at 35 mph or less. Didnt matter if I was giving it gas, cruising, or coming to a stop, it would just die. Then it would start right back up.

Then just now I went into town for a couple erands and it died like 15 times, was thinking I was going to have to get towed home. At one point I was cruising at 55 and it just shut off, that scared me the most.

The car is not throwing any codes and runs fine. Has good fuel pressure.
The only thing different that I just noticed, is the idle seems to be a lil lower at idle. Only noticed that because the cam was loping more then normal.

Could this have anything to do with not having the car tuned yet? I have been on the phone with Jeremy F. the last few days and was going to head out to Tampa ( 3 hour drive for me ) to get it tuned, but ah, not with the car dying at cruising speeds on a main interstate Im not!

What could the problem be? Thanks in advance

Start with the tune. Your car is obiously not stock running a stock tune.

It has a madz28 bolt on tune right now. Had it on the dyno the other day and the A/F was 12.5 across the board.
Anyway, I dont see myself driving a car that breaks down every 5 seconds on a 3 hour trip across state!
Could it be the ICM? How to test it?

Does the ignition switch seem to act up more when the car is up to temp?
How to distinguish symptoms between the ICM and the ignition switch?

I dont want to jump to conclusions, but I put a new ICM in and the car has ran fine. So far about 40 miles in town and atleast 20 minutes of car at full temp and no problems.

You may want to check your idle air control valve too since you said your idle was messed up. The mail order tune should be fine from madz28. My car did the same thing with just shutting off at random spots and I replaced the IAC and haven't had a problem since.

My car died on me 5 times over 3 weeks. I found a burnt plug wire. We will see if it solves the dying problem. What has been done recently or right before the problem started?

Well that has went back to normal. If it does happen again the first thing I will look into will be that IAC. How do I test that?

The only stuff that has been done is the H/C which it has ran fine for the most part till recently. And the other is a walbro pump which fixed my fuel issues.

It seems that the ICM was the problem, as I have driven the car around all night and it hasnt died at all.
