car is driving me crazy
just got my car done for the 2nd time in two months
the first time I put the car back togher after a complet
rebuild with forged parts and head cam swap it had these problems
and now agian it is having the same problems I have a code 42 showing
I thing this would probley be in the opti ICM or coil not sure thow car runs
pretty good when you first fire it and then it all goes down hill it has hardley
any power and it backfires It also dies every once an awhile but you can restart it right away I also have a MAF that is not working plus the O2 are reading rich but I 100% sure that is because of the MAF not working What the hell did I do to the cars eletrical since I had the first motor witch was about a year ago with just the hotcam kit and a good dyno tune. Every thing has been going wrong with the car since I put LT-4 ported heads GM847 cam and Rebuild the engine with quility part you get so amped about
putting a new motor in and when it runs like crap because of eletircal it relay make you want to set the thing on fire if you all have any advice that would be great

The 42 is responding to a problem on the white wire between the black PCM connector and the ICM. This signal when cranking the engine should be 1-4 volts AC (not DC). Either the wire is cut, grounded or the ICM or PCM is defective.
As far as the MAF goes, it's easy enough to test to see if it's working AFTER you get the IC signal repaired
