car dosen't start after RR install

At first the car didn't even try to fire but this morning it backfired out the exhaust really loud and still doesn't start. I checked the plugs and wires. what else could be the cause.

Thanks

you changed the rocker arms?

if everything else is hooked up, the rockers are too tight(or really loose)

I put crane gold 1.6 SA in last night. I have read numours post on how to install them and i think i did that right, but i guess not since the car doesn't start. i thought that it would atleast stubble a little bit and try to start even if the rockers are set wrong

It sounds like you set the valve lash on the wrong stroke. I did this my first time & the engine just spun.... with a little backfire & raw gassy smell. I found out I set the Valve Lash off say 180 degrees.. Find TDC on the #1 again and make sure you are actually on the right firing sequence & then re-set the lash.. That is what you problem sounds like to me.
