Car dies when it gets warm

Once my car gets warm, say anywhere from 15-45 min, it just goes dead. I don't have to come to a stop, I can be moving and it just quits. Once I stop, I try to crank it, but it just spins over never starting. If I wait about 1-5 min, it'll start back up and run for a while longer. (maybe for 10 min, maybe for 5 seconds) If I let the car cool completely, it'll run another 15-45 min. I've replaced the opti about 3 months ago so I don't think its an opti problem. Could it be the coil? Anyone have this happen before? It only did it once when it was cold and I was wiggling some wires in the engine compartment and it fired up, but I checked most of the wires and they seemed tight. I thought it could have been a loose wire, but when it happened last night, I just sat there in the car and waited....it cranked up for a few seconds after just letting the car sit for a few minutes without touching anything under the hood. There was one other time, when I downshifted from 5th to 3rd that it went dead just for a second and came back to life. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

I am going through a similar situation. I replaced the coil, optispark, plug wires, ect. If you look at a wiring diagram in the owners manual there are 2 wires, pink & black and white & black coming off the coil on the primary side. Check the voltage on those two wires to make sure they are both over 10 volts. It might be as simple as replacing one of those that shorted. (i'm in the process of doing this tonight or tomorrow) I will let you know if i come up with anything else.
