A couple days ago i was driving and going down hill i down shifted and it backfired really loud lounder than normal (no cats) and then died as i was pulling into my parking spot. I started the car back up and it idled fine.

I ate then an hour later went home. About a mile down the road the car just kinda died. I would drive at a steady speed and the car would act like it wasnt getting any fuel. It would start to slow and i could press the gas and nothing would happen. I pulled over and it started right up

About 2 miles down the road it did the same thing. This time it would not start right up i had to let it sit a couple min. It was acting like it didnt have any fuel. I got it to the apt and parked it.

I just replaced the fuel filter yesterday and drove it around town for an hour and it seemed fine. When i went to school it started to die on me i pushed in the clutch and coasted to a side street. The car never died just acted like the fuel was cut off.


Does this sound like a bad fuel pump? Any help would be good.
