Car Dies on Me, Now it wont Start!
I have a 1994 Camaro Z28. Its all stock. Recently The car hasnt been running wierd. My car turns off while im driving it, I put the car in neutral and park on the side of the road, I simply turn the car back on. Is my distributer going bad? I think I still have the original plugs, I did a tune up last year with new Spark plugs. Now my car wont turn on anymore, She simply cranks but wont start. My car died out last week in the Jack N Da Box Drive Through. Car was like knocking when I went t start it, like It wasnt getting a good spark. The Service Engine light and Check Gages lights come on.

If the SES light is on, start by having the codes read and go from there. Could be ignition or fuel issues. Failing fuel pumps is a common issue but you need more information to narrow down your problem.

I dont think its a fuel problem, cuz when I was crankin tha car, it was making that knock sound, I was pumping the gas pedel, and i could smell the gas, but I never know it could be a fuel problem. But yea it turned on the SES light and Check Gages light. I called my Mechanic little while ago, Hes coming tomarrow morning 2 see what is the problem.

Yeah, i've heard this problem many maaaany times and my Distributor did this to me as well, when it died it stumbled and the tach went wild, this is not your problem. To be safe and since it mounts on the same brackets as your coil, i would also replace your ICM (Ignition Control Module), it will save you the worry, and the hastle of this whole situation if it doesnt fix the problem, if the car's never had one on it, its probably best it gets one now and have you know about it (unless this is a 1 owner car and your the original owner)
