car dies after warmup...need help!!!!
car dies after warmup...need help!!!!
I have a 1995 Camaro Z28 5.7L V8. One day my car would no longer start. I have now replaced the computer, battery, radiator, spark plugs, ingnition module, coil, and got the computer flashed. The engine now starts and runs nice and smooth, but after it warms up (about 10 or 11 minutes) the engine dies and will not start until the engine has cooled back down. Have no money to get a diagnostics run on it and tired of wasting money on unneeded parts.
Someone please help me!!! Will be forever in your debt.

Well, since no one else has replied, this non-techie will.
This is just general stuff I've learned in a class I am currently taking.
Maybe one of these things is broken:
-cooling fan- can hear it turn on if you just sit there idling awhile. If it is broken, you can turn on your heater and let the hot air building up in the engine out.
-thermostat- maybe the thermostat isn't opening when the coolant starts to heat up. See if the rubber hose leading to it is hot, it shouldn't be hot, only warm.
-radiator cap- the valve opens when the coolant gets too hot.
-radiator- could be dirty
-water pump- could be broken
if it isn't overheating, maybe the intake manifold vacuum is leaking. I don't know what it looks like on the LT1 (I think it is on the right frotn side if the hood is up), but on the LS1 it is in the middle I think. Normally if that is leaking though, I think the car starts but dies immediately.
