Angry car died, won't start, black smoke while trying to start

I went to get my wife food yesterday, and she said the z was acting funny, I started it, and left to go to mcd's, and as sson as I pulled into the hwy, it stumbled, and when I gave it more pedal, it just died. After a while I unplugged the IAC and it started, and ran. She was on her way home, got maybe 1/8 of a mile, and said it was like someone turned the gas off. I went back this morning, it statred and idled low 500 rpm, it cut out when I tried to give it gas, and died. Now when I try to start it, it turns over good, but has black smoke from the pipes. sorry this is so long, just wanted to get all the details in. P.S I just put in a new opti 3 months ago. thanks

the black smoke only came out when i had the pedal floored, thought that it may have been flooded. I've searched the board, and I even tried putting my stock coil back on, (had msd). no better. thanks

timing chain?

Could it be the timing chain? I tried to start it this morning, and it was acting like it wanted to, but wouldn't. Almost like it was hitting a "half lick" My wife also told me she heard a metel-to-metal sound and shut it off right away, maybe its stretched? the car has 115,000 miles. thanks

update-still not starting

I tested the fuel pressure 48, then 42 psi.
put a timing light on the #1 plug wire, its firing.
pulled valve cover and checked valve timing, it's in time.
checked codes, got a 0122 (tps), checked tps, its good. ( I had unplugged it thinking if it was the culprit, the car might start without it using presets.
guys, I'm stumped, it should be running. the plugs are a lil black and smell like gas now, so I am going to replace them, but other than that I don't know what to do. ANYONE PLEASE?
