I'd start checking every connection, sensor, wires, electronics and what not. Basically anything electrical for a start.

Re: Car died need help!

The very first thing you do is push the schrader valve in on the fuel rail. If there is no fuel pressure there, there's your problem. If there is fuel pressure, hold it in till all pressure is relieved. Now cycle power with the engine off power on for 2 seconds and then off. Do this 4 or 5 times. Power off, and now push the schrader valve again. See if fuel pressure is back. If so, move on to spark. but chances are you will see no fuel pressure by the way of fuel squirting out the schrader valve. Be careful when you do this by the way. Could be voltage to the pump as in relay or wiring but chances are good the fuel pump went t!ts up.

Fuel pump was replaced last year, But i'll check the pressure anyway. Things have changed now the motor won't turn over it will just clicks. I went out today to start my back up car its doing the same thing. What the hell. Iam having a bad week. I have a new alternator in both cars.

That sounds like the same problem I have about a month or two ago. I changed the ignition coil (about $15 at Autozone) and Wha-La. Car fired right up and has been fine ever since.

Clicking is a sign that you don't have enough current getting to the solenoid. Either battery is bad or weak or there is a bad connection somewhere between the battery and the starter. Don' forget the grounds too. Start by checking the battery connections for corrosion.

Re: Car died need help!

How do you know the battery is fully charged? How do you know the battery is good? Have you checked the wiring for bad contacts?

Re: Car died need help!

Battery was only 2 months old when i put a charger on it, It went to the fully charged indicator. Well i put in a new starter and now the motor cranks but it won't fire,I guess i'll go through all the wires and see if iam getting spark.

Check the bolt on the back of the alternator. It should have no movement available. It should be nice and tight. If you can turn it either clockwise or counterclockwise then i think you need to change the whole alternator

Re: Car died need help! The results.

I got the call from the dealership and here'e the damage $697.00. Starter and coil fried. They said i must have had a voltage surge or short. I ask them if they found the cause and they have no idea. So i ask them if this will happen again and they couldn't give me an answer. We'll a least the car is running for now. Have this happen to anyone oon here? If so what was the problem.

Weird. I would have guessed the alternator crapped out.
