Car died and came back while driving
Car died and came back while driving
I had posted an earlier thread about my car all of a sudden having absolutely no power when I when to start, then a few seconds later it did. Well it happened again. Then later when I was driving I went into an easy right turn and got on the gas about 35% and the car died, made one loud POP, jerked me forward, then started back up on its own all in one second. Cd player came back on, Security Light, ABS Inop light, and Air Bag light stayed on for like 10 seconds afterword. What is happening? After that I retightened the battery terminals and checked all of the ground wires I could find. Havent driven it since I have done that. I think I am also gonna check all of the wires to the starter and mabey replace the alternator. Is there anything else that might be causing these wierd things, like in the computer or sumthin?

I also read somethin about the ignition switch. Can someone tell me where exactly it is and what it looks like? But could that cause a loss of power to everything, including lights?

Re: Car died and came back while driving
There is a complete guide for switch replacement on my Tech Page. If you mean headlights, no, it won't make them go out. That would be a cable connection from the battery.
