i was on my way to my friends house, and after about 5 mins of it being on the road, the radio cut out, the speedometer went up to around 125 and 'ABS INOP' light came on. after about 5 secs the speedo dropped back to normal and the radio came on... but the abs light stayed on. when we left her house the abs light was off and everything seems normal now. but why did it do that? is it something i should worry about. the check engine light is not on or anything.

when it happened i was going about 40mph its a 94 lt1 109k miles automatic. any info will elp alot, if ya need to know anything else about my girl let me know. thanks

 

or know which forum to put this in? its not quite engine related, i dont think... it just scared me a bit when it did that, has anyone had the problem before? im not sure if anything else went weird with it, those are the only things i noticed.

 

Did the vehicle continue running for the entire time?

My abs inop light likes to come on too, but I'm not so certain that it has anything to do with the brakes. I have a feeling it's more wonderful GM wiring.

 

drove fine. it didnt even mess up at all when the speedo went to 120. the abs light is off now, it comes on for a second when you start the car, but turns back off. but it was only on the way there until the car was shut off and restarted.
