car crapped up on dyno....need help

tonight i went to get my car dyno'd after the 305 install. I was trying to get the a/f ratio so i could send it to Bryan @ pcmforless. so i get it on there and it runs alright until i get it into forth and have to stomp on it. It hesitated and jumped a lil...then it just stopped pulling; almost like you had turned the key off. The guy suspected that the fuel filterwas wrong so he hooked up something that checked the fuel pressure; but then he found out that it was ok. He thinks that my roller rockers are too loose b/c they are makin some noise; but i don't think that would cause this to happen. It normally idles a little funny. I believe that it is runing lean. It hickups every once in a while. The check engine light comes on for a little while; however, even when it is on, it won't send any codes. ( odb1) so anyone have any ideas?

It obviously sounds ignition related. I would first check if your coil is getting voltage, as well as your ignition control module.

why do you think that it could be ignition related? That doesn't make sence to me b/c it starts up fine; however, it starts running funky after that. However, it looks as if some wires that are grounded w/ the coil need to be re-done, so i am going to fix them. I don't think that it is causing this problem. It sounds like a PCM problem to me.

I almost gaurantee its not the pcm. Don't go and replace unless you are absolutely sure. You can swap one with a buddy to see though if you want, but i'm sure it won't fix your problem. Might be your opti. Does the car still idle fine?

I tighened a ground wire and the car hasn't acted up sence. One question i have though is that could this account for a total lack of power on the dyno...if not i don't wanna go pay for another dyno session and see that it wasn't the problem. Jason
