I personally recommend you either go with Treys idea, or find a Miledon pan. Send that Canton crap back, nothing but headaches. On a side note, I can't believe I just recommended Trey

I bought my Canton oil pan last year. I Have had nothing but problem with it. First the Dip stick tube wouldnt fit, then the plug started to leak (at least I thought) then the oil return line hole for the blower (that I dont have) started to leak (at least I thought). I can find where the dam leak is. I have tightend the pand about a million times and it seems to be pretty tight! What is this pans problem?

that does it
gimme my timing gear back

on a side note-
here is the fine print...

I can only get it measured for free. I have to take it to another facility and pay for the manufacturing, so i dont know if i will produce it.

I really dont want any money. I'd be happy to break out even with a mold or at least blueprings and a free pan for myself. If anything i'd just sell it to a shop. Depends on my minuim order, price, my general impressions of the shop and if they want to gimme any kind of deal seeing how buisness from a $10billion company might be helpful down the line...

hehe, its amazing the respect i get from these small companies when i go there on TRW's behalf

Trey I'm having the pan shipped to the shop who is putting the motor together. When I saw this problem everyone was having with the canton pan.I called the shop and he said that he has put them in other cars an d had no problems, for some reason I dont believe him,Trey i would happily give you the pan but I think the shop is trying to finish up my motor and doesnt want me to slow them down.Trey When you come back to strong Island,do you think you can help with the my car.I value your opioun and would be a big help if youn could help with my buildup.Trey heres my email Chevyiron@hotmail.com

i'm still game to send the pan to you. However, i'd like to know what kind of turn-a-round you expect for my replacement pan? I mean, is this going to be a 6 week or a 6 month kinda thing... IF it happens?

I have no idea whats involved with something like this. you can have your pan back right after i measure it. I'm basically having the computer make me a et of blueprints for it

thats fine then. I'll probably try my luck with it until I come up with another solution OR you get me a sweet new pan

One more thing: You sig says "Ken Mook"... but I thought his user ID was "kmook"... do you have two user names Ken?
