Angry canton pan fitment problems!

How many are running the canton oil pan on their LT1? I just dropped my motor in and the pan hits the steering rack

how do I alleviate this problem??

Wait till it starts to leak like mine and many others here. They are total crap. And so is their customer service. Screw Canton, buy Miledon.

Q, i just found the other thread... needless to say, i'm a little upset right now!

dumb question, but I've never tried to so i don't know, but can you take the pan off without pulling the motor?? Because I'm NOT pulling the motor to remove that POS pan!! I'll drop the k-member before I do that!

Best way I can think is support the motor from up top and drop the K-member off the bottom. That is what I plan on doing, till then she is gonna mark her territory. I have spoke to a few people about the miledon pan, nobody has said they have had a problem yet....that is at least a good sign

if either one of you want to let me barrow you pan-
I am going to have prototype services here at work inspect it, measure every demension and i'm gonna start fabbing my own up.

I refuse to pay $350 for a pos pan. I'll prob sell them for about half that. Whoever lets me barrow their pan gets a free powdercoated oil pan of mine

mine wont have anything for a low oil light... God help you if you run low in a 7 quart pan

Trey, I'll be home on saturday to work on the car again. Will be pulling the canton pan off and sending it on monday. I won't be able to work on it before then... Don't think I can get it to you by next wednesday.

Best of luck trey! I think the vast majority of the guys in LT1 tech would spring for a pan that was better than Canton at half price. My stock pan had to be "massaged" to clear the stroker crank...it looks like it has cancer!
