Cant run self-aligning rockers on any afr heads?

Cant run self-aligning rockers on any afr heads?

Im trying to find a set of afr heads and they all say they will not work with self aligning rockers. Are s/a rockers really that bad why wouldnt they work

they dont work with s/a rockers because the heads come with the guide plates already installed. if a person is going to be running aftermarket heads and the performance potential that they offer, then the nsa rockers are probably a better set up.

Ummm, maybe this is new for AFR but my AFR190's (older versions) that I have been running since 99' had the option for guide plates or not. I am currnently running 1.6 Crane Gold S/A rockers with no probs.

You can run the SA rockers on them, no problem. If they come with the guide plates, just remove them and use machine bushings or some other high quality flat washer under the studs.
