wow as far as I can tell everythings fine in my car and I can't chirp 3rd...I can go sideways sometimes in 2nd though. Stock clutch, stock almost everything and it pulls 5.6 0-60 times (gtech pro). Michelin 245-50 16's.

I used to be able to chirp third with my worn out clutch w my 4.11 gears.

I then upgraded to a SLP billet flywheel and Spec stage 2 kevlar and now I can't chirp any gear. In my situation, the mass removed from the flywheel made the difference. I get no clutch slippage and and flooring it rolling I can easily light up the tires.

The streets cleared up some and i was able to get a little sideways goin into 2nd but no churp, guess my tires are probably too bald. I dont think that my clutch is goin because i can floor it at like 35 in 4th gear and the RPM's dont jump up. But what do I know ha not a whole lot of experience...only 17.

Thanks for all the help tho...

It's a little off topic, but i made some recordings of my Magnaflow muffler. A guy from the board is hosting the clips for me so go ahead and check them out if you want.

Yes its possible. Might cost a tad more though. I paid $220 for all the pipe bends, mufflers, and labor to install. $150 just for the parts to form the true duals. If you done it to your stock car you would just have to get some pipe to extend down from the stock exhaust manifold and stop where Longtube headers stop. Then you can just weld the true duals up just like on Longtubes.

Do the true duals pass emissions in most states?

They will pass the actual smog test but not a visual inspection. At least in CA it won't...

As for the chirping, you have an slight advantage over those who do lose traction, so be happy. Traction is something a lot of people don't want.... **** gimme some of your traction.

I think the worry is less of "I have too much traction" and more of "My car isn't running right, everyone else can squak em and I can't".

are you running the goodyear F1 GS-D3's? if so, how do they compare to previous tires? i called tirerack and they told me that they hook better than kdw's, potenza's, and sz-50's. i am only interested in dry road conditions. i would like to see that with my own eyes though.

I wish i could help you out but i can't relate to the old tires because these F1 GS's were on the Z before i bought it. But i think they have only lasted about 10,000 miles to tell you the truth...maybe 15,0000

you need clutch like mine, then you chirp every shift

sounds like your clutch may be slipping though.. are you sure you arent spinning and you just dont hear it? when my tires get worn i dont hear the chirp, but ill see the marks if i go back and check.

My guess is that if your clutch is good, its just your bald tires. My cheap cooper cobras are just about shot, but even with half tread, they would never squeal or chirp at all, if they broke loose they would just spin but quitely. I can see the black marks in my review mirror through 3rd gear when im on a lighter colored road, but never do I hear them at all.

My car used to kick to the side and bark second then chirp third until I got new tires. Now I can't even chirp second. It just grabs and throws you back a lil harder in the seat. Not bad for an A4 and stock 3.23's
