can't get coathanger things off

i'm trying to re-do my headliner but i cannot get the coathanger things off the sail pannels!

how the hell do these things come off? i'm almost ready to just use vice grips and tear them off

Seems like I remember that you pry the small pin out a little where you can pull straight out on it.

The little plasic center piece has to be pulled straight out. It's a little fussy, but once you get it pulled a little it comes right out.
