cant find accelerator cable to get rid of traction control...help!

cant find accelerator cable to get rid of traction control...help!

i have gm part number 12550719 for the cable and cant find it anywhere has to be ordered has anyone used an after market cable to do this with? if not i guess i have to order it ! btw is that the correct part#?

i did this and no dealer or parts store carries this cable anymore. You going to have to get one off a parts car like i did or get the lokar one and customize it a little.

call them... they got my ASR cable that I needed... and he said he had tubs of cables.

gmpartsdirect seems to indicate the cable is still available. (12550676 )

i ordered cables from jason cromer from a 95 122550676 and 12550719 will these work ? hope so !

The 12550719 is the cable from the cruise control to the TB for 1993-1995. 12551470 is what the book shows for a 1996. I don't know what might be different. The 12550676 is from the pedal to the TB through 1996. All these numbers are for cars without traction control.

but thats what im trying to do delete the traction control with these cables from a 95 this will work right?

Well, I think you would want the cruise cable for the year your car is. It's a 1996, right? Like I said, I don't know what the difference is in the cruise cable from 95 to 96.

I just did this yesterday, got my cable from Dal the cable is:
12550676 - 1994-1996 accelerator cable-no traction control

I got it for ~$16 and GM list price is $24+, give him a call 877-448-5451...

well i guess thats right cause i only need the accelerator cable to delete traction control but i posted i needed both cables including the cruise control ...but if i dont want cruise either than i just need the accelerator cable? CORRECT?

I pulled my cruise control and only needed the one cable..
