Can't Do a burn out. Need help!!!!!!!
Re: Can't Do a burn out. Need help!!!!!!!
whoa dude...
more air will make a burnout easier...
your car is likely fecked up... I coudl do smokey burnouts with my 2.8L, 3.4L, and 3.8L v6 with no problmes...
the 3.4L and 3.8L both had limeted slip even, hell the 3.8L is running 275s in the rear.
I got a feeling your problem is #6, with your car setup and driving.

Re: Can't Do a burn out. Need help!!!!!!!
Theirs got to be a problem. The LT1 should do a burnout even with M/T Et streets. And i don't see how it could be driver because it's simply tooooooo easy to do a burnout. Must be something mechanical. Just stump on the gas. I could do burnout with a 3.4L Grand Am Auto.
Re: Can't Do a burn out. Need help!!!!!!!
I might say some of #6 with maybe something else wrong with the car. I do burnouts barely trying and sometimes leave rubber when I don't mean to, and I am not heavily modded.
Re: Can't Do a burn out. Need help!!!!!!!
If you have 2:73's on a stock car it will be a little harder to do a burnout with good rubber and a good street. I have the 2:73's with an almost stock car and if I stomp on it it spins a little but it doesn't do anything close to a burnout. To do a burnout I have to use some powerbraking.
Re: Can't Do a burn out. Need help!!!!!!!
Just came from the mechanic and he said that the whole brake system is corrupt. the abs and the asr are not even working. what a mess, the main computer is corrupt, something like that.
Re: Can't Do a burn out. Need help!!!!!!!
that sucks. My abs doesn't work, but I don't worry about it because I don't like abs anyways. I like to control my own brakes. I found that one out after I bought the car and realized the abs inop light was on. It had some black tape over the light to cover it up. The car seems to brake fine though. I can lock up all 4.

Are you sure your not acutally driving a Mustang instead of a Camaro?
ANyhow.... what do yo umean you can't do a burnout? Can't you just hit the gas and let the tires smoke up? I haven't dropped the clutch to do a burnout since I had a 4banger...

Re: Can't Do a burn out. Need help!!!!!!!
Put the shifter into neutral, floor the gas until you hear the engine popping(this is good), and then shift into R for Race. You'll be doing burnouts in no time! You may want to call Warren Johnson when you get it working so he can take that bad boy down the track, because once you put in in race mode it'll be running sevens easy.

eck u are 1000 percent right sir more air makes the tire harder there -4 yes it would be easier to do a burn out yea i would say#6 also my car has 147000 and it will smoke the tires off if i wanted to do so as a rule of thumb less air= more traction
