Does it seem as though the idle is any rougher than before?

Might want to check for a dead cylinder.

No it does not. May poss be just a cold transmission never did let it warm up. I leave about 10 min from work. I'm hoping this is the prob. When I hit the gas rmps don't rise super fast like they did on sat but it was after the car was warm is this normal?

Not sure where you live, but if it is in a northern state, you need to be letting the thing warm up before you start beating on it. Oil gets pretty thick when it gets cold. Always good to let it get to operating temp, or at least warm.

So... when the car seemed to be running weak, was it warmed up or not - hard to tell from what's posted above?

I live in michigan and the motor was cold. It had idle for about 5 to 6 min before I pulled of it was pretty chilly around 25 or 30 degrees

Although it is a good idea to let the car warm up, you will NEVER have to let the car warm up to smoke the tires on any and all bone stock LT1 Z28's if they are working properly. It's more than just the engine tempurature. Do you have traction control on your car? I know when I did my LT1 drivetrain swap, I swapped in a 97 drivetrain into a 94 V6 and the computer never reset the traction control right away. It was hooked up like normal and for the first week the car was a blast. The dash we used did not have a traction control button (but all I had to do was buy the button to insert and plug in). After a week, the computer cycled through enough times and the traction control was in the ON position at all times since I didn't have a button. The first time this happened I thought the same thing. No power at all. I thought my car broke. I tried and tried to slam the gas and get the tires to chirp but they wouldn't budge, just a slow steady acceleration. I called my mechanic and he told me that it could be the traction control. I got under the hood and unplugged the traction control and the car was back to normal. (Sorry for such a long explanation)

From the information given there is no reason to start replacing parts yet......maybe determine what is actually wrong before just randomly throwing parts at it......And everyone wonders why they call most board members internet mechanics.....

Everyone has an opinion, but that doesn't mean that it's right.

To the OP....is there anything out of the ordinary with the car? Sputters, bogging, anything that would lead you to believe there is anything wrong with the engine? Does the trans slip? Does the rearend make noise? Are there any abnormal noises or sounds coming from the car, or is all you have to tell us is you can't do a burnout?
