Can you use "used" splayed caps?

I'm starting my new project, and have found a set of used splayed caps at a good deal. Any disadvantages to using them? problems? opinions?

You need to have the block line hones with any change in caps, that should do it for you. First though you probably want to look into wether it is even worthwhile.

Matt, have your machine shop inspect (magnaflux) the caps before you buy them if it is possible. Any decent shop can fit used caps (as long as they are in usable/good condition). They will need to be cut then line bored/honed.
