can you throw a DTC:48 MAF SYSTEM MALFUNCTION without setting off the SES light?

can you throw a DTC:48 MAF SYSTEM MALFUNCTION without setting off the SES light?
loaded up datamaster and it says i have a DTC:48 error ... but i don't have an SES light? can this happen?

Perhaps the code is not an "active" one, but in "history". I would reset the pcm and see what happens. Normally, DTC 48 should light the SES.
