Can You Buy This?

Most important question: I have lost one of the two white triangle coverings that go over the two fuel lines that run across the intake into each fuel rail when I removed my fuel rail covers. Can you buy these at an autoparts store or just salvage? I am afraid to start if up with gas possibly leaking out these holes.

2nd, my EGR has only the vacuum attachment on the front, and not the one in between the intake and the EGR like this one,

Is this b/c it is a 93? Thanks.

Not familiar enough with the 93 fuel lines to give an answer on the first question.

The line you are seeing in the pic is meant to go to the fuel pressure regulator above and is just dangling down by the EGR. Pay no attention to it.

Thanks for the info. There are two brass lines that run across the top back portion of the intake. They connect to each side of the fuel rail, and are covered by a star screw and a white triangle plate to help hold them on. It is one of the white plates that I lost.

It is only available in a kit that includes 3, 5 and 6. GM PART # 17112991. Darn expensive for those little parts. Wholesale price is ~$22. I assume it has two of 5 and 6 and one of 3.

Thanks a bunch. I think the car will be okay without it, but I will get the kit anyway. I would have never known what to order or anything like that! Thanks again.

These are just kind of support pieces anyway aren't they?

I am wondering if it is okay to run the car without one for a little while?

Looks like they may lock the tubes in place? Hard to say if you would have any short term problems without one. I would watch it very carefully. If it were to cause a fuel leak, the consequences could be catastrophic.

The lines run into the fuel rail about a cm on each side with O rings at the entrance into the fuel rail. Without the cover and screw, they stay in fine due to the compression between the 2 fuel rails. It looks to be more of a cover than anything, at least I hope. I moved the car out of the garage to look for the piece, with no luck, and everything was fine, but that is a lot different than driving.
