Can unvented opti's dry out?

My friend got his unvented opti wet while putting 160 thermo on. The car is stumbling now and has a loss of power. Will his unvented opti dry out, or is it ruined?

Mine did the same thing after thermostat change, it missed for about two or three hours. Then fixed itself, i guess it dried out.

Yes, they can dry out. Some seem to dry out in an hour or two, while others take a couple of days. Guess it depends on how bad it was drowned.
