Can the oil cooler/warmer adaptor be removed?

Have never had an LT-1 block torn down so was wondering if the sanwich adaptor can be removed and use a normal small block adaptor to run a filter on in the stock position.Tired of the leaking.

Sure can. It would be the same thing as a non-oil cooler equipped 4th gen. All you do is remove the cooler sandwich plate and mount the filter adapter you already have directly to the block. Cut off the studs on the bolts that were used to hold the plate on and use the bolts to hold the filter adapter on. A bypass hose is run from the w/p to the radiator.
