Can an LT1 motor and 4L60-E be removed together?

I am about to be removing an LT1 engine out of two cars. My question is can a stock LT1 engine be removed with the a4 tranny still attached?
I know this is doable with the m6, but I was under the impression that the a4 is a little larger than the m6.
Thanks

I have never tried but I am sure it is possible. I always pull them separate .
Are you swapping the motor & tranny out of one and into another or what?

So you would say that taking out the bottom is easier than out the top?

Yeah, I am taking my little brother's heads/cam/full valvetrain/race built tranny/stall and putting it in my car. And we are taking my stock motor/stock tranny/stall and putting it in his car. Both are LT1/a4 combos.

If you ever come to Texas I am buying you a case of cold ones. Taking the Beotch through the bottom doesn't look too bad at all. I just need to find some of those carts. Thank you so much.

Yes
This looks to be the easiest way of doing it. I've had mine out the top four times, and being it's out right now I will me putting it back in this way. Good thing is I already have a cart just like the one you use. What was I thinking this whole time??? Thanks

it'll come out through the top together. I've done it a few times. You just have to get the angle right on the motor and the car. Make sure you have 2 jacks. 1 to let the front end up and down. one for the tailshaft on the trans. Of course you'll wanna leave your rear up on jackstands too.
I think after everything was unhooked (and i learned how to do it) it took me about an hour to start sliding it out this way.

the bottom is the easiest for this application, he can leave everything on the motor right down to the accesories and manifolds/headers. good luck!!!
