can I use the stock pushrods?

I just got my LE2 heads & cam. I was wondering if It's ok to reuse the stock pushrods, & lifters. I wanna do it right but I don't wanna blow $ on stuff I don't have too. Any advice would be appreciated.

To do it correctly you need to measure for proper pushrod length using a pushrod length checking tool. Are you using SA or non-SA rockers?

Send them back and get 7/16" non self-aligning rockers, TrickFlow chromemoly pushrods/guide plates, and ARP 7/16" rocker studs. Not much price difference and a much more stable valvetrain.

I can do that but i think I had to go with the ultra pro mags cuz I got the patriot gold springs. I don't really know the pro's and cons beyond the common sense stuff. Yeah i want it to stay together!

FYI: You can't use self-aligning rockers with Patriot Gold springs, the retainers won't allow it. Did you discuss this with Lloyd?

I just looked up the part # and they are self alligning, that was the # he gave me. maybe that is why he told me the ULTRA pro mags. with the bee hives he told me proform 1.6rr. since i went with the patriots he told me i'd have to use the ultra's and they were double the price.
