Can I take heads/cam from a stroker and put it on my 355?

My friend has a custom grind cam setup to go with his le3 heads. However, that setup is on a stroker motor. And I have a 355. Wouldn't the custom grind be more for his stroker setup than for my stock stroke setup?

What I am trying to ask is... Does the custom grinding process have anything to do with stroke or are you simply supposed to relate the cam to the heads?

The cam will "work" as in the car will start, drive and not hurt anything in most cases, BUT, it all depends on the cam specs and maybe on the motor's compression if different. That cam may work, but it may not be optimal for your combo. A piston to valve clearance check wouldn't hurt either, but again, it all depends on the specs.

I would say that a custom cam for a 383 is going to be too big for a 355, and not fit the motor or car setup.
