Hey can i use flat type 02 simulators instead of square type? If so, are the wires the same color for both types? I can get a really good deal on some flat types a guy has (like a steal )

i'm almost sure, you can not.

the square o2s sims are for the back o2's, the one's behind the cats. the flats are for ones before the cats. they're going to read different air/fuel readings because the cat will change that and blah blah blah....
unless......there's a different year LT1 that takes flat o2 sims for before the cats, and then i guess it would be okay to use. but not to my knowledge
i'm not 100% sure. but i would bet you can't

infact, you wouldn't even want to use o2 sims for the front two..

you need them so the pcm knows how the fuel is being burned and all that good stuff and it'll accomodate for it. changing the air/fuel ratio.

yes you can do it. I ran into the same problem when i stripped one of my O2's trying to remove it. After a closer look at the color markings of the wires, I found that they are pretty much the same in color. too easy.
