Can I put head studs on my motor in the engine bay?
Can I put head studs on my motor in the engine bay?
Is there enough room? My motor is out of the car, Im putting the block in and then assembling it in the car.. Do I have enough room to put the heads on with head studs with the motor in the car?
Re: Can I put head studs on my motor in the engine bay?
ARP has some new bolts out with Allen wrench provisions on the longer studs so you put head on than install the longer studs.

Dont know the part number, but like the parrot said assemble them out of the engine bay then put in engine but use the studs for when you blow a head gasket

It is. But I did it. It's possible, gotta take the hood off, and do some careful tilting, but it will fit.
