CAN I eliminate my EGR this way??????

My little vaccum hose that goes to the solenoid broke and also the hose from the solenoid broke off (hehe I was doing a little cleaning) I was wondering If I just block off the vaccum on the hose (the one on the drivers side right by the pcv valve) and I justr leave the EGR on the back of the black, will this be the same as If I was using block off plates and all that stuff?????????

JUst wondering..

Or should I emmediately go and get these lttle hoses and go back to nrmal?

As long as the EGR is functioning fine and doesnt leak it will work. Have you tested it? With the motor running push in on the EGR diaphram and it should kill the motor. Then cap off the vacumm port.
