Can I delete my oil coller
They are notorious for cracking !!!
Then while the engine is running, oil at a higher pressure leaks into the coolant. When you turn the engine off, the opposite happens. That's right, coolant, now at the higher pressure, leaks into the oil. Been there... dunn that!
And could have lost my engine.
I believe they only came on 94, 95 and 96.

If they are so great why did GM cancel them in 96/97....
Answer you say? Because they are pieces of crap that cause more harm than good. Yes, oil coolers do work. The stock cooler can NOT be considered an oil cooler, it's a piece of molded metal meant to look like an oil cooler that gets in the way.

Just remove it and don't forget to replace the studs with bolts other wise you'll never get your oil filter on. On all the cars I've worked on I have ended up taking the oil cooler off and had no problems afterward. HTH
