Can this happen to us?? see inside

While surfing around I came across this website:

http://autorepair.about.com/cs/generalinfo/l/bl827d.htm

It mentions a TSB on Contaminated MAF sensors. I wondered has this ever happen to the LT1's?

Why are you comparing Fords TSB's to our cars?

Yea MAF's can go bad ON ANY CAR, but comparing a Ford TSB to our car is completly irrelivant That's like posting up asking if a tire can blow out on our car's because you saw TSB about some firestone tire's that were falling apart

so are you saying that GM Camaro MAF technology is soo far behind FORDs MAF technology that theres no way this can happen to us? I mean GM doesn even make the Camaro anymore.

Here it goes again... has any Camaro MAF been diagnosed with contamination? I didnt know MAFs could get contaminated so this info its new to me.

I've never seen anything about someone's MAF being contaminated. But like it was said above, that's like comparing apples to oranges. I'm sure if you search enough, you can find out if any TSB's have come around involving that.

sure it's possible, but i havent heard of it, and if someone has had the problem,it probably wasnt labeled as "contamination".

2 different design's of MAF sensors anyway, the gm is more efficient at self cleaning. remember,GM has been at the maf setup longer then ford,so doesnt matter if the fbody is made anymore or not.

The MAF sensors are completely different. Ford uses a sampling tube, while GM stretches a wire accross the entire diameter of the MAF.

how is mouthing off relevant to the question

They are right they are 2 different systems, weather the fbody is still in porduction or not is not relevant at all.

TSB's are usually very specific, meaning If its for a 95 exploder or whatever, it usually ONLY applys to that 94 exploder with a 4.0 or 5.0 whatever it was.

WTF?? Dude what does GM not making f-bodys anymore have anything to do with MAF's? I think it sounds like you need to go buy a ford
