Can an EGR tube leak on an LT1 cause excessive oil consumption?
sure it isn't the egr tube heating up the aluminum intake manifold causing it to expand and contract, breaking the seal between the intake and lifter valley, and sloshing oil out there? I've seen that a lot w/ the lt1s.
but as far as a tube leak causing oil consumption, I don't see how it could to be honest.
good luck.

I did not notice any big leaks when i took the intake off.
There was a veryt small seeping but nowear enough to suck oil through. I have had to put in about 1 quart of oil every 1000miles or so at times. My combustion chambers, plugs and cylinder tops are black with oil deposits.
I have heard of that bad PVC valve may cause this also, but I can't see that either, but I have to ask the question.
I had this problem from day one , 3 years ago.
