To answer your question yes you can, I don't have any of the info to help you but I've seen it done and talked about b4. Maybe somebody else can add some help to this....

You can buy an LT1 intake manifold for a carb and distributor from GM Performance Parts. The distributor will be a bit tight under a 4th Gen cowl, but will fit. A crab-style cap will make it easier.

you can also run the old style dist. with the stock lt1 f.i. intake.

it is not as sipmle as cutting a hole, but i have a friend who has it working, and well.

In the book "how to rebuild LT1/LT4 engines" they are doing the conversion. Very good book.

Might be a bit tricky fitting a carb on the stock LT1 FI intake though.......

One of the local guys done that to a 93, Ran a standard Cap. He had to but the cowl and it looked awful, for a street car that is. Of coase he could have done a little cosmetic work and made it look a little better

Do you need to revamp the fuel pump/system to use the carb?

Or is it as simple as adding an adjustable fuel regulator to be able to cut the pressure back to 7-9 psi or so?
