As was said already, check out Shoebox's install guide, that will give you an idea what you are getting into.

It really isn't that bad. It just sucks when other things go wrong or when you start second guessing yourself... I did my cam 2 years ago without any help and without ever doing it or really working on cars before. Then last year I did the heads. My help was only a fingertip away though. When I had a question I would just log on the the forum. The hard part was not having the right tools when I needed them. Now if I changed the cam again, I know I can do it in a 12 hr day with no problem because I have all the tools to do the job now including a air compressor and I know what road to take to tackle the job.
