Can alternator cooling fan cause knock retard?
I have an aftermarket, upgraded 200 amp alternator. It has the star shaped stamped steel cooling fan on it. When I rev up the engine, I can hear the cooling fan turning.. It sounds kinda like a blower when at high RPMs.
I've been getting as much as 6.6* of knock retard abov 4000 RPMs.
Could the cooling fan for the alternator cause this?
