Cammed LT1's?

What kind of power in LT1's with all bolton's and a cam put down? What do these kind of cars run in the 1/4 and 1/8?

It depends on the cam a lot. If you have one of the "bigger" cams (like the CC306), you are probably looking at about 360rwhp (stock heads + all bolt ons + tuning). With the smaller cams (like the Hotcam and the CC305), probably around 330rwhp (again, stock heads + bolt ons + tuning). Actually, a search on this topic would help you a lot. You could see what people actually put down with different cams.

See #'s in sig, all the usual boltons and a relatively small cam.

Youre getting 400whp out of a GTP??? Wow, I had no idea they could make that much power, that's sweet.

316 with a hot cam and AS&Ms with pcmforless. If I had LTs with an ORP, 330 would've been forseeable but I need emissions.

I think a CC306 at 360 is a very high number ??

See sig for dyno numbers and track times. This is with a relatively small cam, stock heads and no tuning.

You might want to shorten your sig a bit, the admins here don't like the mega-sigs too much

hey llafro, does that 58mm TB actually work good with your setup? I heard anything over the 52mm TB on an NA motor was basically useless. Maybe I heard wrong?

I thinkOne of the guys here, Marcin, I think his nick is "xxsaint69x" or something like that (sorry if I messed it up), got like 363rwhp from a cc306 with stock heads. I might be wrong though, correct me if I am.

i would say between 315-330 with a small cam (LT4 hotcam-305 cam) to 350-375 with cc306 or 230/236 cam with stock heads

i have seen stock heads/cam only LT1's run low 12's. i plan on doing this too as as soon as i get my 60's down!!!

Hey Blown Six why are you curious about a cammed Lt1?

Nice numbers there, one day I hope I get my GTP to that level. I will have to stick with the Z for now though. I hate to start tearing apart a new motor for heads and a cam and all that. But, it won't always be new

If you are getting ready to race a cammed LT1, put on the little pulley and do your thing.

If your thinking of getting an LT1 and doing a little work to it, I highly recommend the combination.

Do a search on here for cams and you should get all kinds of info. for the track and hp numbers.

I have about $4000 in the motor. My gtp ran 8.46@83.66mph 1/8 1.94 60' before I did VS Cam, ZZP Stage 4 M90, 2.6"/2.7"/2.8"/3" ZZP Modular Pulley system, DHP PCM, ZZP Stage 2 Intercooler, INTENSE 9.5:1 cr Forged Pistons, ZZP LS1 tb & 85mm LS6 maf, 42.5 lbs Flow matched Lucas Injectors , 3" Exhaust into 2&1/4 y, SLP headers, INTENSE Trans 2.93 gears, Nitto 555R's 245/50/16. I ran the 8.46 with just about $1100 in mods. I think if I can pull off some 1.6-1.7 60' I would guess I would be running 7.5-7.4@93-94mph 1/8 11.6-11.4@116-118mph 1/4, keep in mind this is with stock 2.93 gears and stock stall.
