Which camaros have LT1's?

Did any other 4th gen cars come with the LT1/M6 package besides the SS and Z28?

The only other one is the B4C police package, but those are very rare.

V6:
Camaro
Firebird

V8:
Firebird Formula
Firebird Trans Am
Z28
(SS was an option package for the Z28, not a separate model, same with the Firehawk)

wouldn't the b4c be an auto???

93 speed density lt1, 94-97 MAF LT1
A few SLP cars had LT4's in 97, you won't run into those though.

4th gen corvettes came with LT1/M6, does that count???

Other than that convetional knowledge would lead me to say chris hit it on the head. However I learned something new a couple days ago. According to advance auto in reading PA:
"94 formula's came with LS1's, the LT1 didn't come out until 98"
Gee, thanks moron, oh how i wanted to slap him for trying to tell me I don't even know what motor I have.

LOL, I guess that is true, all B4Cs were autos...at least I think they were. Cops need a hand free to operate the radio or other items.

Re: Z28 with SS option

I was wondering what the SS package consisted of for the Automatic LT1 Z28. If someone could give me a list of items it consisted of, that would be cool. Oh, and how many HP was it........

Thanks-a-bunch, Pep

I guess I could've stated autos too. Just wondering incase my 383 doesn't move my caprice fast enough, i'll stab it into a 4th gen that doesn't need changes like the v6 models do. Thanks all.

Good reading....

F-Body FAQ

An excerpt:

Q: What's included in the B4C police package?

A: According to "The Genuine Camaro White Book" by Michael Antonick, on a 93 Camaro, the B4C "special service" option included:

-LT1 engine
-6 speed manual transmission
-3.23:1 ratio limited slip rear axle
-Single exhaust and converter with dual tail pipes
-16 inch aluminum wheels
-P245/50ZR16 blackwalls
-4 wheels disc brakes
-124 amp alternator (140 amp for '94 and on)
-150 mph speedometer
-Air conditioning
-525cca battery
-Engine oil cooler
-Performance suspension

The term "performance suspension" refers to the suspension which normally comes on a Z28, as opposed to the suspension which comes on the base non-Z28 Camaro or on the 1LE Z28. One other enticing thing is the package is cheaper than the regular Z28 options in order to give law enforcement and local goverment a break. Good luck trying to order one though. First, you have to find a dealer who will do a fleet order for you. The B4C is a "special services package" that is only orderable under a fleet number. It has no "stated" restrictions in the order book, but currently Chevy will not build one for a non-police department. And that means providing documention indicating delivery to a police station.

Wow, i was dead wrong.
6spd police cruisers, cool. I just ***-u-ME'd that they would put autos in the cop cars. Also I thought I'd read soemthing about the b4c autos having different valving in the autos.

I'm sure the "auto" was still an option with the B4C.

yeah i know it's definitly an option, i'm just really surprised that it wasn't standard with the package. I wonder how many actually came M6, i'm not even going to try to search for production numbers on something that obscure, it would be cool if someone knew though.

The 88' Dodge in my sig use to be a police car (CHP). It has the police package on it..I forget where I left the paperwork.
You can see the wires under the hood where the siren was hooked up. Rubber flooring and wires to the back where the scanner was. I guess my Dodge has a shift kit (love it!), aftermarket suspension...things got leaf spring in the rear! Right now im slapping a cam in it to get use of that Edelbrock Carb and Manifold im putting in.....stoopid car is marked salvaged from police department auction.....its alright cuz who the heck would buy this car? ha ha I did tho....318 Mopar baby..wish I had a 383!

I have '95 B4C M6 (more)

17K miles and hate to drive it considering how rare it must be in purple!

Anyone know how many of these were made?

Only 310 TOTAL B4C's in 1995. I can't imagine more than a dozen or so in purple, M6, leather.

Any idea what this car is worth?

Are the 1LE cars Z28s, do they have the badges, etc...?, also don't forget the F1 cars, I was under the impression that they too weren't considered Z28s.
