i would really suspect that it is your optispark, my car drove great and then after awhile, it would shutter and it felt like it was going in and out of gear when i was cruizing at speeds above 30 or so. when i would totally mash the pedal down, it would go without problem, but when i would slowly apply gas, it would not respond well. optisparks go bad after a while, not much u can do but get it replaced if it is indeed the problem. my problem was minor at first, but it progressivly got worse and worse. any more details would help. u have a 94 Z right?

thats about it.. the only problem with the car.. yep, 94 Z A4. problem is, i'm selling it, do i replace the opti if needed, or get the plugs n wires.. i guess it just depends on what the problem is, the opti could have been replaced even before i bought the car. I wasn't sure at the time..

if it is your opti, and you are selling your car, i bet you could get away with selling it without the repair. it is very hard to notice an opti problem by only test driving it for a few minutes like most people do. i went to carmax for the hell of it when my opti was bad, and had them give me a price quote. they took it for a drive, and said the car was perfect. you have to drive it for a while to notice. i would be kinda pissed if i was sold an LT1 with a bad opti, but thats the chance you take when you buy a used car. you could always sell it if u were already going to. now it will be somebody elses problem

i'll just tell him about it.. and be like i reduced the price for that reason when in reality, I didn't. The front tires are also bald.. a 94 is hard to sell, not to mention the mileage is pretty high. o well..

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!!!! I just took out the Z28 for a lil spin around my neighborhood, it felt like it lost power, at low rpms 15-30 mph it felt like it had a hard time shifting a lil bit, clunkier.. so its like that problem i had before, but a little less minor at lower rpms... ohh noooooooooooooooooo

after a while, at lower speeds, my t/a felt somewhat like you are explaining. it all started at higher speeds, soon enough it was all the time. i would guess that your car will start running hot soon enough. if it is your opti which i think it is. its a normal thing to go wrong on our cars. very common. that sucks dude

Well things I would check are ignition coil + wire, spark plug wires make sure none are burnt, egr, o2 sensor, and the opti would be the last senario I would look into ,rule out the simple stuff before assuming the opti is bad. Hope any of these help.
