Camaro Z28 Needs Help!!!!

I was driving my Z28 just before, normally, at low rpms.. its an a4.. it shifted fine.. but when i floored it from like 40 mph on.. the car like hesistated and kinda shook, and it felt like it wasn't shifting right as well.. When i drove it home, it felt fine.. but I know if I were to floor it again, my car is gonna have that hesitation/shaking.. theres 82k on the engine, no problems thus far.. help me out guys!! please.. thanks

Not sure how your A4's are set up, but on the AOD we have a Throttle Valve cable that connects from the Throttle Body to the Shifter Arm lever, that may be a possibility.

Does it downshift on WOT?

How long has it been since you did the plugs and wires?

I'm pretty sure the 4L60-E doesn't have a TV cable. Since its electronically controlled.

I'd start with a tune up, and go from there....

Plugs, wires, fuel filter, etc....
Really if this doesn't clear up the problem it was time to do this stuff anyways since you've got 82K on the car

i would check your optispark. i forgot what year your car is, but my 94 T/A was hesitating when i would touch the gas at around 30+. it felt like a transmission problem, but just that damn optispark. this is a common problem on our LT1's. good luck

they usually go bad when they are in contact with water, or anything. and looking at your mileage, that could very well be it. i have just hit 70k miles, and i replaced the optispark at 68k. many of the people on this board have gone through 2 or 3 of them. i would recommend u take it to a place and have them check the opti. is your car driving fine up untill you drive for a while?(like 15-30 minutes)? also, this can cause your car to overheat. let me know.

today and the day before i was driving fine 90 minutes at a time.. big time cruising.. and the temp guage was lookin normal.. this just happened today.. and its been dry for quite a few days.. no problems up till today.. its been running great all week.. i did go into a carwash today, but i doubt that would have gotten the opti soaked.. im clueless..
