Camaro vs Mustang

Just got my 93Z M6 a month ago and it has a few minor mods - CAI, Flowmaster cat back, 5.0 shifter, hypertech chip and 160 stat. How is this going to stack up against all those Mustangs out there? What are their advantages over the F-bodys?

Mustangs are usually a bit lighter, but they are under powered. And you got an LT1!!! I've got a '96, and it came with 285HP and Mustangs that same year came with 205-215HP. So I say, have fun blowing them off the road, I do

For more opinion, try the lounge.

The only stock Mustangs you should have to worry about are the 99+ V8 models. The earlier 4.6 Cobras are also pretty quick as well. Modded its anyones game. Just pray you spent more money than they did.

There really arent any advantages for a LT1 car over a strong ('99+ or DOHC Cobra) 4.6 Stang in my opinion. Each car has its advantages and disadvantages. The Camaros have a bit more power and torque, but are heavier, and a bit harder to drive. (lower and less visability)

The Stangs do have a bigger aftermarket I believe...

Move to lounge? I thought this was LT1 tech. Well I have an LT1 and the tech question is, do I have enough or do I need more. If I need more, what mods should I make? Don't want any damn horses making me look bad .

I responded to your post in the lounge so read that for some of the stang info...as for mods look at getting some long tubes, and get rid of the catalytic converters if you can't do that for whatever reason get headers and hi flow cats. There are some cars on here hitting high 12's with bolt ons so if you play your cards right you'll have a dang quick street machine.

I'll go with bigsteve's opinion.....just hope you have more mods than they do...
